The key part(s) of the SuperStreams Engine is the Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and Departure Control Systems (DCS) middleware, with system integrations supporting Amadeus Altea and Navitaire.
Independently of PSS the same optimized SuperStreams Engine APIs are exposed towards frontend, regardless if customer facing Apps, internal Apps (like airport, staff, etc), Web IBE, Chatbots, or Kiosks, you name it.
Other PSS/DCS, or any other system, can be integrated through connectors, without having to change backend logic or APIs. This makes our solution truly PSS-agnostic.
It’s built using microservices that are auto scalable and easy to maintain.
We will grow with you and your needs, and we’ve experienced real world extreme traffic from time to time and done countless stress/load tests where the bottleneck is always the PSS API, if any. Our environment will auto scale as much as needed.
You will have your own backend/middleware instance and we monitor this for you, including detailed logs of all requests and responses to be able to follow any trace and understand all full flows and scenarios that may occur. Monitoring access and intuitive business level dashboards will also be provided.
Needless to say, maximum uptime and minimum latency leads to best conversions and customer experiences, but it’s easier said than done. After ten years we think we’ve nailed it, and should any incident occur (regardless whose fault it is) we will notify immediately and remediate 24/7 through our on-call teams.
The new digital era we live in has introduced constant hacker threats: any system can be hacked, it’s just a matter of time and costs to the bad actors.
But even if someone has gained access to the APIs, what’s most important with our revamped platform is that all logic and validations are in backend, which makes it impossible to gain unfair advantages (rebates, free/cheaper flights, etc).
A less critical but more common airline problem are bots scraping prices (to be used in OTAs etc), which increases load and sometimes holds and increases fares for real users. We fight that with WAF rules, rate limiting, bot SDKs, app attestation, CAPTCHA for fallback etc.
With our expert PSS knowledge and traffic data saved in our own security monitoring platform we know exactly what is normal behavior and what is not, and can choose to block bad actors even from just scraping. Most airlines already have a third party bot system and WAF provider for other digital platforms, and if requested we will integrate with the same, and can then still monitor the effectiveness (% bots passing through API) through our monitoring.
Industry leading pen testers are constantly trying to find holes and help us make improvements.
For PCI compliance no payment information is never saved anywhere, and we do frequent audits.
